In celebration of our Beer Collection launch, we're highlighting the five best breweries in Denver, Colorado. Whether you're a Colorado native, or stopping by our hometown this summer, each of these top breweries in Denver guarantees good times, great food, and most importantly, incredible beer. Ranked in no particular order as it's too hard to choose!
#1: Ratio
In a way, Ratio started in the punk rock scene back in the late 90s, as they were touring, playing out, creating magazines, and working at labels. Eventually that energy transformed into brewing. They learned how to brew in Germany and took what they learned there to Colorado.
What to know:
- They have a puppy-friendly patio
- The seasonal strawberry Berliner Weisse is incredible
- This a more affordable Denver brewery
#2: Stem Ciders
We're not sure if a cidery is the same thing as a brewery, but we love Stem Ciders and wanted to list it on this list of the top breweries in Denver. Stem produces cider on three main principles: quality, style, and tradition. They produced their first batch of cider in 2011 and opened their doors in Denver in 2014. They now have locations both in Denver and Lafayette.
#3: Our Mutual Friend
This is one of our favorite local spots! Our Mutual Friend opened in December of 2012 with the goal of creating a place for community through their small neighborhood taproom. They create beers with a sense of place, forging relationships with Colorado hop and barley growers and leading us into offering as many 100% Colorado grown beers as possible.
What to know:
- Hotdog Mondays — get one free hotdog with your brew
- They have the hippest beer glasses in town
#4: Grandma’s House
The name says it all. Grandma's House celebrates all things craft. Their quaint taproom has a relaxed, comfortable, and nostalgic atmosphere that is designed to make everyone feel welcome. If you’re looking for low-key, relaxing Denver craft breweries, head over to Grandma’s House.
